There is something you notice the moment you work with a therapist who has been doing this for years. They see the things others miss.
Experience in speech pathology, audiology and occupational therapy is not just about time on the job. It is the hundreds of families, the tricky cases, the moments that did not go to plan and taught a lesson no textbook could. An experienced therapist has met a child like yours before. They have sat with a parent who felt exactly the way you feel now. They know when to push forward and when to slow down.
That depth of judgement matters even more in NDIS work, where every plan is different. The right support, delivered within routines the participant can actually apply and within the allocated budget, can change a family’s day. An experienced clinician knows how to make a plan work in real life, not just on paper.
You feel it in the room. You feel it when someone asks the right question, adjusts the approach without fuss, and gives you honest answers instead of easy ones.
If you or someone you love is starting a therapy journey, the experience of the person guiding you matters. It shapes the results, and it shapes how supported you feel along the way.
At RT Speech and Hearing, that experience is the heart of the practice. Meet the team.
Dr Marc Oh, Accredited Audiologist
Marc leads the audiology side of the practice. Accurate assessment is the foundation of good hearing care, and Marc’s work makes sure every recommendation starts from a clear, reliable picture of what a person can hear.
Mei Han, Certified Practising Speech Pathologist
Mei is a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist and part of the speech pathology team supporting children and adults across a range of communication and swallowing needs.
Dr Jing Zhang, Certified Practising Speech Pathologist
Jing is a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist who works alongside the team to deliver assessment and therapy tailored to each person’s goals.
Ingrid Wood, Senior Occupational Therapist
Ingrid brings almost 30 years of experience across hospital, community, aged care and disability settings. Her background spans neurology, rheumatology, orthopaedics, oncology, NDIS, DVA and aged care, which means she has seen how support needs shift across a lifetime and across very different circumstances. That breadth lets her adapt quickly and design support that fits real routines, not just a checklist.
Dr Ruyi Tong, Certified Practising Speech Pathologist
Ruyi graduated from the University of Sydney in 2005 and brings close to 20 years of clinical experience, alongside a PhD in Psychology. She specialises in complex communication needs and stays active in research and teaching, which keeps her practice current and evidence based. Families working with Ruyi get the benefit of both deep clinical judgement and a genuine understanding of how communication and thinking connect.
Experience you can feel
