RT Speech and Hearing Is Coming to the Wheatbelt

We have some exciting news to share. RT Speech and Hearing is now offering drive-in drive-out (DIDO) speech therapy and occupational therapy services to communities across the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia.

For many families and individuals living in regional WA, accessing quality allied health care means a long drive to Perth, significant time off work, and the added stress of organising travel and accommodation. We want to change that.

What is DIDO therapy?

DIDO stands for drive-in drive-out. Rather than asking you to come to us, our therapists travel directly to your community. You receive the same personalised, evidence-based care you would in our Perth clinic, without the burden of travelling to the city.

We are planning visits to towns including Hyden, Northam, and York, with the aim of making this a regular, reliable service for Wheatbelt residents.

Who can we help?

Our DIDO services are available for children and adults who need support with:

  • Speech, language, and communication
  • Stuttering and fluency
  • Feeding and swallowing
  • Everyday living skills and independence (occupational therapy)
  • NDIS-funded support

Whether you are a parent seeking early intervention support for your child, an adult managing a communication difficulty, or an NDIS participant looking for a local provider, we would love to hear from you.

Why we are doing this

Access to allied health services in regional Australia remains a genuine challenge. We hear from families every week who have been on long waiting lists, turned away due to distance, or simply given up on finding a local provider. Our DIDO model is our way of doing something practical about it.

We believe that where you live should not determine the quality of care you receive. The Wheatbelt community deserves the same access to skilled, compassionate allied health professionals as anyone in metropolitan Perth.

Get in touch

If you or someone you know could benefit from speech therapy or occupational therapy in the Wheatbelt, we would love to have a conversation. Send us a message to find out when we will next be in your area, or to get on our list for upcoming visits.

Serving Hyden, Northam, York, and surrounding communities.
