Ingrid Wood
Ingrid graduated from Otago Polytechnic in Dunedin, New Zealand, in 1997 and brings extensive experience across both the public and private health sectors in New Zealand and Australia. Her clinical background spans rheumatology, orthopaedics, acute medical and surgical wards, neurology, (particularly working with participants with paraplegia and degenerative conditions such as Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis and Motor Neurone disease), oncology, aged care, disability services, cognitive impairment, and emergency department care coordination.
Ingrid has worked extensively in the community under the Community Aids and Equipment Programme (CAEP), as well as within the Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) and aged care services (Support at Home), supporting clients to maintain their function, independence, safety, and participation within their own homes and communities.
She has developed particular expertise in functional assessment, equipment prescription, and home modifications to support independence, safety, and quality of life. Ingrid also works extensively within the NDIS space, providing comprehensive assessments, advocating for appropriate supports, and helping participants access the services they need to engage fully and meaningfully in their daily lives.
